Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Once Together, Now No More.

The 16-year-old pop star and 18-year-old Disney actress were seen arm in arm on several occasions for several months but were both equally coy about their relationship status, “We just like to hang out. They shouldn’t be stopping us from going out to dinner and things like that,” Gomez told People magazine almost three months ago.

Bieber recently told MTV News about her: “She’s really cool. She’s an amazing person.” However, he did add after a moment’s pause that,”I gotta keep some things to myself.” Despite their best efforts to downplay rumors of romance, they looked very cozy together when they were caught on camera kissing in the Caribbean around St. Lucia in January 2011

Despite their best attempts to keep things private and discreet, those photos opened up a floodgate on Twitter where many fans had no trouble expressing their feelings about the relationship. One twitter user, “BiebsLoveMe” wrote “@selenagomez crazy how you’d do that stuff to your “little brother.”” Moreover, others, such as “ItsBieberSweet” wrote, “that should be me .”

Other fans were of course supportive of the her relationship with Bieber. “When I see those piccs from @justinbieber & @selenagomez I’m freaking out inside,” “iNerdGlasses” wrote. “But then I realize, he likes her so.. I won’t stop him ” Another fan, 4everSelGFan, wrote, “@selenagomez I love you with all my heart & I always will, no matter what you do or who you date. I’m just happy to see you happy xoxo.”

It turns out that they were dating quietly from November 2010 but kept a very low profile until the teen sensations went public with their official red carpet debut at the Vanity Fair Oscar party in Los Angeles in February 2011, enjoying long lingering kisses in front of the cameras outside the party. There was no mistaking that they were a couple with their arms around each other, staring lovingly into each other’s eyes.

Unfortunately, in April 2011 something went wrong between the couple, as they were breaking up over some text messages. There had been rumors that Justin was still interested in “Baby” music video co-star Jasmine Villegas, despite his romance with Selena Gomez. That was all it took, according to the National Enquirer, “Selena was heartbroken and confronted Justin.” Although he at first denied it, he eventually came clean, and their romance ended on that note, as she was willing to stay friends even if she was “revenge cheating” on Justin with Glee star Cory Monteith.
